Tarver Grove Plantation offers hunters a very unique and exceptional deer hunting experience. Please take a moment to read about what sets us apart from other outfitters in the region.
First, we only accommodate one party at a time. This means you will not be sharing accommodations with unfamiliar hunters. Also, this allows for your guide to give you his undivided attention. While many hunters enjoy the benefits of having the Plantation to themselves, this aspect of our hunt is especially appreciated by new and young hunters.
Second, the time and resources we invest into the quality of your hunt is a year round effort which far surpasses that of similar outfitters. The bottom line is that deer management is our passion. Year-round food plots, prescribed burning, predator control, supplemental feeding and year-round herd monitoring are just some of the management practices we employ to manage our herd. A well populated and healthy deer herd, wise stand placement, and minimal hunting pressure, sets the stage for your hunt of a lifetime.

2011 Deer Hunting Dates:
Archery Season: Sept. 10
Primitive Weapon Season: Oct. 15
Rifle Season: Oct. 22-Jan.15
Three-Day Whitetail Deer Hunting Package: $1,300/person
Hunt includes:
- Opportunity to harvest 1 buck and 1 doe with no additional fee
- 3 morning hunts and 3 afternoon hunts
- 3 nights lodging with meals
- Transportation to and from deer stands
- One additional buck may be harvested for $350
- One additional doe may be harvested for $250
- Cleaning and quartering of deer for no additional charge
Additional hunting may be added to 3 day package for $175/ half-day hunt.
Deposit:
A 50% non-refundable deposit is required for reserving the date of your hunt. Reservations will be honored for 14 days after the time of booking. If deposit is not received within 14 days of booking, your reservation will be cancelled. Although deposit is non-refundable, it may be used towards another hunt during that season if a conflict should arise.
Bucks must have at least 8 points and a 14” inside spread
- Fine for 8+pt. buck with less than a 14” spread: $350
- Fine for button buck: $350
- Fine for any other buck with less than 8pts: $450
*If a deer is wounded and blood is found, it counts as a kill.
